Michele Pressé/ Director

Michele Pressé has over twenty five years of professional, business, management, training and entrepreneurial experience. Since 1994, she has been actively engaged in the education and training sector. As Canadian Director of Education for Redken NYC (a professional products division of L”oreal) she developed, implemented and facilitated many extensive professional training programs. In addition, she has developed and executed training plans for large corporate organizations with locations and employees located across Canada.

As a Business Management consultant within the Beauty Industry she has provided consulting services to independent spa and salon owners, to assist them in introducing best practices for optimum success in their business, including overall business and financial analysis, implementation of systems as well as coaching and management training for owners and their employees.

Michele has been actively involved and serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the Ontario Association of Career Colleges (OACC).

Tara McGreevy-Dimitriou

Tara McGreevy-Dimitriou brings over 10 years experience as an esthetician, 8 of those years managing and providing services in a medical spa working with some of Toronto’s leading plastic surgeons, dermatologists and physicians.

A national educator in the skin care industry, she has published several articles and has been called on as a guest speaker at various industry events and conferences. Tara now brings her knowledge and expertise to The Salon+Spa Career College to head up the Medical Esthetics program. Tara’s focus is on continuing education and along with her in-depth knowledge and experience with laser and light based devices, skin rejuvenating treatments and the ability to motivate and inspire other to succeed creates a solid foundation for success for those that join the Medical Esthetics program.

Tara’s mandate is to continually evolve and develop the Medical Esthetics program to ensure that The Salon+Spa Career College graduates have the knowledge and practical skills to work with the latest technologies and rise to the top of this rapidly growing, competitive industry.

Louise Forget

Louise Forget has been actively involved in the spa industry for over 17 years. Her experience includes working in some of Canada’s most prestigious salons, spas, 5 star resorts and exotic destination spas. Louise has extensive experience as a sales consultant and educator representing international brands. In addition, she has participated in numerous events including: fashion shows, hair shows, beauty pageants, television production, seminars, team leadership and salon/spa start up projects.

Louise’s core strength of dedication and conviction in this continually evolving and vast industry has given her incentive to keep developing her skills, knowledge and education. She has obtained her Certification in an Adult Education/Training.

Julia Baxter

She has over 10 years experience in the health and beauty industry. Her experience includes coordinating and managing salons and spas across Ontario. Her role at the Salon+Spa Career College includes daily operations of Salon+Spa, student and guest services.

As well as her work with Salon+Spa Career College, Julia also works as a research Coordinator in the Healthcare Management field for Universities all across Canada. Julia is passionate about the health and beauty industry. Her evolving position reflects the needs of our ever changing industry.

Julia has her honours undergraduate degree in Psychology from Carleton University.

Petra Hughes

For well over a decade Petra Hughes has been active in the medical esthetics industry, working with many leading dermatologists, and plastic surgeons in Canada. Petra got her start as an esthetician and esthetic sales representative.

Petra has done numerous radio, television and print interviews on new medical skin care, IPL, and laser procedures. She has been called upon by the W Network as a hair removal specialist and has performed seminars for dermatological conferences and industry trade shows across Ontario.

Petra is proud to have the opportunity to apply her wealth of knowledge, high energy and passion for the medical esthetics industry as an instructor and supervisor at Salon+Spa Career.

Rochelle de Leon

Rochelle de Leon joined Salon+Spa Career College in September 2008. She is a young professional with over 10 years of Administrative and Customer Service experience in the private education institution field.

Prior to joining Salon+Spa Career College, her experience includes; Administrative Staff Supervisor, OSAP Coordinator and Student Loan Advisor among other administrative duties.

In her current role as Administrative Coordinator and Student Finance Advisor, Rochelle ensures compliance with established government student loan policies and procedures. She also verifies and receives payment transactions, issues diplomas and certificates and oversees registration process including course scheduling and maintaining student records. Ms. De Leon graduated from Centennial College in 1996.

Karen Murphy

Karen Murphy has over 10 years of experience in the salon and spa industry specializing in Esthetics and Medical Esthetics. She developed her skills through working in a variety of salons and spas and in various team environments. Karen has had the opportunity to work with many leading product lines and treatment protocols.

Karen believes that constant education and the pursuit of knowledge will open many exciting doors within the salon and spa industry. Her success in the roles of team leader and manager lead her to pursue the opportunity to teach on a full time basis. She brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the students at Salon+Spa Career College.

Helen Spiropoulos

Helen Spiropoulos has been involved in the various capacities in the Salon and Spa industry since graduating from Esthetics. She furthered her education by completing programs in Special Effects Make-up Artistry and Electrolysis.

Pursuing her passion for makeup, Helen worked on various stage productions, including the Canadian Opera Company. Helen has also operated her own spa, and has helped many others get started with their own salon and spas.

Helen brings a wealth of experience to her role as the Educator/Program Director for Esthetics. She has been an educator with Salon+Spa Career College since 2005 and has contributed to the ongoing development of the Esthetic’s curriculum. Helen has served on the working group with Ministry of Colleges, Training and Universities on the development of Programs Standard for Esthetics in Ontario.

Maria Basciano

Maria has worked as a hairstylist for the past 13 years and is a Redken NYC certified colourist. She has facilitated a wide range of programs in cutting, colour and finishing all across the province. She has also worked backstage at many major shows and events.

Coming from a long family history of stylists and salon owners, Maria developed a passion for the industry at a young age. Maria proudly brings her talents, creativity and love of education to Salon+Spa Career College.

Maria believes in the philo-sophy that “KNOWLEGE IS POWER” and when you have the power of knowledge anything is possible. Her focus is to help shape and inspire future hairstylists in the industry.

Teresa Aniceto

As a professional speaker Teresa has taught and lectured all across Ontario for the beauty industry. With her credentials as a certified hair colourist, program developer, educator and trainer she proudly assumes the position as the Program Director (Hair Styling) for Salon+Spa Career College.

Teresa developed exceptional leadership skills through a never ending process of self-study, education, training, and experience. Teresa has the passion and ability to inspire others to be their best.

With over 25 years in the business sector Teresa’s invaluable skills in purchasing, marketing, sales, customer service, education and management contribute to an exceptional learning experience for her students.


Guest Lectures
Cheryl Gushue

Cheryl Gushue has been involved in the fashion industry for eighteen years. Her experience expands from television appearances, styling, designing clothes, creating hair & makeup looks, creative direction, writing, photo shoots, backstage makeup and fashion show production. Her work has been published internationally. She is an educator and a beauty expert, and writes for beauty publications.

Her awards include two time Canadian Makeup Artist of the Year and North American Makeup Artist of the Year shich have brought her to Germany to compete worldwide.. Her PR and media appearances are frequent on national makeover shows. She was the Beauty Consultant/Spokesperson for L’Oreal Paris at Toronto Fashion Week. Cheryl was the on camera makeup artist for the Canadian makeover show So Chic as well as stylist to the guests.

Cheryl has taught at the fashion colleges in Toronto as well as private courses. She now travels internationally presenting at trade shows and giving seminars to the beauty industry.

Stephanie Flores

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada, Stephanie Flores is one of the leading make up artists in the country. She is teaching the Makeup Artistry program at Salon+Spa Career College.

She started her career in make up and fashion at the age of sixteen after the influence make up and beauty had in her day-to-day lifestyle.

However eventful, her journey has not been an easy one. “My parents were very much against my career choice,” she recalls. “I had to work extra hard in getting where I am today just to prove to them that I could be as successful as I claimed I could be. As a matter of fact I am grateful for how hard they made it for me because it only made my passion and drive to achieve my goals greater.”

Her drive has pushed her to great heights as she has worked with many notable actors, entertainers, brands, venues and clients of all genres and markets. Some of her clients include Stila Cosmetics, NARS, LOLA, Toronto Fashion week and Toronto Film Festival as well as entertainers such as Vivica A. Fox, Charlize Theron, Ne-Yo, Michelle Rodriguez and George Clooney to mention a few. She has provided consulting and workshops for companies like Humber College, Royal Bank of Canada, Canada’s Next Top Model, and Universal Records among many others. She is also the beauty editor for Canadian fashion-entertainment publication, Creamworld Magazine, as well as the lead beauty director for Canadian record label CP Records.

“I have some incredible people around me that inspire me and propel me to move forward in my personal and professional life,” she reveals. “I am constantly learning, networking, and growing as an individual. I am truly blessed.”
